Doris W. McGinley of Delmar, formerly of Salisbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Deers Head Hospital Center, where she had resided and been cared for over the past several months. She was 85. Dolly, as she was known by many, was born May 4, 1939, in Harrington, a daughter of the late Elwood D. Wright and Mildred Mabel Draper Wright Reed. In her younger days she lived in the Dover area and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was a gifted floral designer who loved her work at Cook & Smith Florist in Dover which then became Bobola's Florist. She also worked alongside of her late husband, James at the Easy 1-Hour Film Developing Shop. After moving to the Salisbury area, she worked as a designer for Flowers by Hearn. She will be remembered also as an avid reader and a wonderful cook. She is survived by a daughter, Susan Hull and husband, Chucky of Delmar; grandchildren, Chucky Hull, II and wife Stefanie and Robert Thomas Hull and wife Jamie; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. McGinley; a son, Arthur Van Sipple, Jr.; a sister, Margaret J. Dill; a brother, Charles Allen Wright; a cousin and best friend, Dink; and her companion, Donald L. Mooney. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Greensboro Cemetery, 309 S. Main Street, Greensboro, MD 21639.
