Doris Lynch Leyshon, 91, of Green Meadows Assisted Living in Dover, and formerly of Salisbury, died Monday, June 7, 2010, at Kent General Hospital in Dover, Delaware. She was born April 14, 1919 in Laurel, Delaware, a daughter of the late Ethel Cannon Lynch and Charles Ellis Lynch. Doris worked as a clerk at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. For many years she attended St. Stephen's United Methodist Church in Delmar. She was a woman of strong faith who read her daily devotions faithfully until she was no longer able. She was an avid reader and a lover of seafood. Friends at Green Meadows will remember her for her crab picking ability. Mrs. Leyshon is survived by nieces and nephews; Donna and Howard Reed of Ellendale, James and MaryAnn Yourinson of Wilmington, De, Cheryl and Randy Mullins of Snow Hill, and Howard and Susan Yourinson of Wilmington, De. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward S. Leyshon and three sisters, Agnes Lynch Truitt, Mary Lynch Rounds, and Mildred L. Parsons. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Delmar, officiated by Howard Reed.
