Doris Jean Bishop, age 64, of Laurel, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Born on November 23, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland, Doris was a devoted mother, and cherished friend, known for her caring nature and unwavering support of those she loved.

Doris dedicated many years of her life as a hardworking salesperson at Staples in Salisbury, where her friendly demeanor and tireless work ethic made her a beloved member of the team. Doris was a woman of deep compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand-she would genuinely give you the shirt off her back. 

In her free time, Doris found joy in bowling and shopping. A meticulous homemaker, she also took great pleasure in cleaning and organizing her home, creating a warm and inviting space for her loved ones.

Doris is survived by her husband, Walter Bishop; daughter, Jessica Bishop; son, Walter Bishop III; grandchildren, Jayce and Kayson; brothers, James and Elwood Baublitz; uncle, James Aleshire; nieces, Crystal, Rose, Melissa, and Amonie; and a nephew, Jimmy. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isobel E. Baublitz and Harry C. Baublitz, Sr.; and her brother, Harry Baublitz, Jr.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be planned. The family invites all who knew and loved Doris to remember her spirit and the warmth she brought into their lives.
