Doris Mae Whaley Banks, daughter of the late Norval and Flora Mae Brown Whaley and wife of the late Clarke Philip Banks passed away on Friday, October 30, 2015. She was a member of the Seaford Wesleyan 'The Ark' Church and an avid fan of the Delmar High School football team and the Baltimore Ravens. Doris worked for Nabisco for 14 years and afterwards for Dr. Larmore in Delmar. She leaves her children; Greg Banks (wife Louise) of Harford, PA and Jay Banks (wife Theresa) of Preston MD; grandchildren, Sarah Lang (husband Scott), Adele Pannone (husband Chris), Karl Clarke Banks; her sister, Beverly Hudson; aunts, Mildred Steen and Erma Waller, and nephews and nieces. Doris also had a brother Richard Whaley who is deceased. Doris was married to Clarke Philip 'Rock' Banks for 50 years before he passed in 2003. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the Seaford Wesleyan Church-The Ark, 26630 Sussex Highway, Seaford, Delaware. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Dave Kiser will officiate.
