DELMAR- Donald R. Kelley, "Kelley" as he was known to family and friends, 77, of Delmar, died Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. He was born March 23, 1933 in Salisbury, a son of the late Howard and Ida Morris Kelley. "Kelley" retired in 1995 as an electrician after 45 years of service with the International Brothers of Electrical Workers Union, Local 24 in Salisbury. He loved his animals, his work and most importantly his family. He was proud of the accomplishments made during 28 years of membership in Alcoholics Anonymous in Delmar. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Gloria L. Kelley; two daughters, Candy Messick and her husband, Eric of Delmar and Hope Williams and her husband, Richard of Laurel; a son, Donald R. Kelley, Jr. and his wife, Misty of Delmar; nine grandchildren, Dennis Hearn, Gregory Hearn, Eric Messick, Jr., Jordan Giordano, Mikayla Williams, Matthew Williams, Caitlin Williams, Gavin Kelley and Kayla Johnson; a sister, Mary Richardson of White Earth, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Services will be private at the request of the family.
