Desirae Eliza Parkinson- Guillot went home to be with Jesus on October 25, 2021. Desirae was a 2011 graduate of Delmar High School. After graduation, her academic achievements include graduating from Del-Tech with an associate's degree in social work, she then went on to earn a bachelor's degree in psychology at Salisbury University. While continuing to pursue a master's degree in clinical psychology from Capella University, she attended Valor Christian College in Columbus, Ohio, studying music ministry. She worked as a behavioral therapist for children with autism. She played the keyboard, guitar, and sang beautifully. She attended the Uprising Church in Hebron and was a part of their worship team. She was also a member of Melson's United Methodist Church in Delmar. Desirae was a kind, loving ray of sunshine. She treated all she encountered with kindness and respect. She was adventurous, fun, spontaneous, and loved to joke around, especially teasing her father. She was a daddy's girl and her mother's rock. Her heart's desire was spending time and planning creative fun things to do with her nephews. She was instantly a loving and attentive, beautiful mother. Her family will love and miss her for all time and her parents will forever be immensely proud to call her their daughter. She is survived by her daughter, Genevieve Faith Guillot; parents, Dennis and Ronda Parkinson of Delmar; brother, D.J. Parkinson and his wife Kim; nephews, Eric, Wayne and William Parkinson, all of Fruitland; father-and mother-in-law, Dr. Tom and Lynn Guillot; sisters-in-law, Sarah Heck and husband, Sam and Dr. Lori Guillot; brother-in-law, Thomas Guillot, III; nieces, Juliet Heck and Valerie Heck; nephew, Samuel Heck; and her very best friend since childhood, who was like a sister to her, Della Winslow. She was preceded in death by her husband Christopher Guillot, and her brother, Eric S. Parkinson. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
