Dennis "Danny" A. Warner, 64, of Delmar, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. He was born September 8, 1947 in Easton, MD, a son of Ruth A. (Smith) Warner of Riverton and the late Russell Leroy Warner. Danny proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1967 and worked as a truck driver for various companies including Peninsula Press and Wheatleys. He was an avid animal lover. In addition to his mother, Danny leaves behind his loving and caring wife of 41 years Susan "Sue" Foskey Warner; a brother, John Warner (Diane) of Florida; a sister, Edith Sibley (Larry) of Georgia; an aunt, Grace Schavelin of New Jersey; Danny is also survived and dearly loved by his in-laws and extended family, Lina Foskey of Delmar, Phyllis Townsend (Ed, Jr.) of Willards, Carolyn Campbell (Frank) of Berlin, John Foskey (Michelle) and Marty Foskey (Peggy), all of Laurel, Victor Foskey of Delmar, Judy Elliott (David) of Seaford, Mary Jane Horseman of Delmar, Roger Foskey (Kara) of Seaford. Danny is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss him, including very special nieces, Angel Horseman and Penny Carr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Neal Warner, father-in-law, Roland H. Foskey, and brothers-in-law, Phillip H. Foskey and Gary Horseman, Jr. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Reverend Edward Townsend, Jr. will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow at Melsons Cemetery in Delmar. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home, Delmar.
