Delores Anne Jones, 70, of Delmar passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 28, 1947 in Salisbury, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Verda Adkins from Delmar, Delaware. Mrs. Jones was a devout believer in Christ. She loved spending time crocheting and camping. What Mrs. Jones enjoyed most was family and having big family dinners. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Hollis L. Jones, Sr.; sons, John Jones (late wife Cathy) and Hollis Jones (Kimberly); daughters, Sally Ferro (Ed) and Tammy Jones; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street in Delmar. The interment will take place in Bivalve U.M. Church Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Reverends Jim Hitch and Edward Townsend will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Jones may be sent to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
