Debbie Ehinger, 66, of Delmar, Delaware lost her battle to cancer on Sunday, February 21, 2016, after a 7 year struggle. She passed away in her home surrounded by family and friends. She leaves behind her twin daughters; Sunday Thomas and Cindy Singleton, her son; Jay Ehinger; the father of her children, Joseph Ehinger; six grandchildren; Bruce Singleton, Jr, Tyler, Kari and Kelli Ehinger, Syndi and Michael Thomas, two great grandchildren; Trey and Stephanie Singleton, three brothers; Rodney, Kirt, and Danny Graves; and last but not least her best friend of 47 years, Dee Dee Kelley; and the love of her life of 24 years, Darren White. She was preceded in death by her mother, Delia Willey (Grammy). Debbie retired from Verizon after 45 years. She was a beautiful and amazing woman with a wonderful zest for life. During her seven year battle with cancer she always remained positive and courageous, putting everyone before herself. She worried about everyone, and was always spreading laughter and love wherever she went. "She was a home to the home-less and a friend to the friend-less". A memorial service and celebration of life will be scheduled for 5 pm on Friday, March 25th at Short Funeral Home, 13 E.
