Dawn Marie Passwaters, 63, of Laurel passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 27,1958 in Laurel, a daughter of the late Robert & Mary (Doll) Parsons. Dawn was best described as a "jack of all trades," she could do anything she put her mind to. She was a wonderful cook and worked as a waitress for many years. She loved to go crabbing, spend time at the beach and plants, she could bring any plant back to life. Dawn always lived her life to the fullest. She is survived by her children, Angela Moody, Sunshine Hickey and Robert L. Hickey, III (Sam); grandchildren, Desmond, Brandon, Anaya, Autumn, Dominic, Brittany, Ashley, and A.J.; great-grandchildren, Desmond III, Dior, Elijah, Desir, Geigha, and Kara; siblings, Bobbi Lynn Parsons, Jimmy Parsons (Sheila), Billy Parsons (Cindy), Mike Parsons (Rosie), Bobby Parsons (Debbie), Ronnie Parsons (Betty) and Steven Webster; aunt, Claire "Gitsie" Hyle (Robert); several nieces and nephews; her best friend, Sheila Phillips (Eric); and her beloved dog, Smoke. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Passwaters, and her grandmother Elizabeth Calloway. Services will be private.
