David Allen Wilson, 51, dedicated husband, father, son and best friend, of Delmar, died Friday, February 27, 2015 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born October 23, 1963 in Salisbury, a son of Jimmie and Beverly Wilson of Delmar. Following graduation from Delmar High he enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country for 4 years. David lived in Delmar his entire life and worked many years as a carpenter for various local builders. He was an avid sports fan and lived for the Redskins, Delmar sports and NASCAR racing. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Tammy Wilson; 2 daughters, Ashley Bell and Danielle Bell; a son, Jayson Bell; 5 grandchildren; a sister, Teresa Wilson; a brother, Dale Wilson; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He is also survived by very devoted and special friends, Bruce Roberts and Terri and Terry Fletcher. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00. Interment with military honors will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
