David A. Smith, Sr., 80, of Georgetown, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 16, 1942 in Plymouth, NH. He was the son of the late Forrest D. Smith and Marcia A. (Cayes) Smith. Dave grew up in his beloved New Hampshire. He graduated from Ashland High School in 1960. After graduation, he proudly served his country in the US Army and served in the Korean War. He enjoyed his career as a truck driver working many years for Peninsula Oil and later Gardner Asphalt. He is survived by his wife of over 33 years - Gloria J. (Parks) Smith; his children - Marcia Kay (William) Smith, David A. (DuLana) Smith Jr. and Gary L. Smith; Gloria's children Scott (Donna) Meding and Randy (Kelly) Meding; his grandchildren - Ashlee, Harley, Gary Jr., Stephen, Donya, Tyler, Alexus, Joshua and Zachary; his (4) great grandchildren; his sisters Patricia Dame and Shirley Genest as well as his nieces and nephews.
