David Gene Harrison passed away peacefully at his home in Delmar on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born on October 19, 1949, in Laurel, Delaware. Dave, who proudly served on the Midway ship during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy, was not just a veteran; he was also a talented electronic engineer. He spent many years working at K&L Microwave in Salisbury and Lark Engineering in California, where his expertise and dedication shone through. Outside of work, David was an adventurous spirit. He had a passion for bowling and tennis in his younger days, and he was a fierce competitor in his local pool league, bringing home two trophies. Dave was known for his love of watching TV, especially westerns, game shows, and WWE, often with a refreshing Pepsi in hand. He had a great sense of humor and was proud to refer to himself as "ornery," always bringing a smile to those around him. Dave is survived by his children, P.J. Grziwok (Rebecca), Tammy Sue Harrison, and David Elbert Harrison; grandchildren, Kayla Farfone, Emily Farfone, Cyndee Grziwok, and Joe Grziwok; several great-grandchildren; his mother, Elizabeth Harrison Tarr; sisters, Dianne Jones (Doug) and Cindy Harris; brother, Steve Johnson (Carol); niece, Kimberly Cropper; and nephews, Jeff Collingsworth, Jerry Shirey, and Travis Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Wise Harrison, and his sister, Sharon Harrison. A service with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, 6827 East New Market Ellwood Road, Hurlock, MD.
