SALISBURY- David Steven Burke, 56, of Salisbury, has gone to Heaven to be a guardian angel to all those he loved on Wednesday, July 21, 2010. He was born in Salisbury on July 15, 1954, a son of the late William and Audrey (Parks) Burke. Dave proudly served his country in the US Army from 1971 to 1973. He was a skilled HVAC mechanic who owned and operated his own business, Burke Heating & Air Conditioning, for over 30 years. He enjoyed being on the water, fishing and crabbing with family and friends. Spending time with his family was what Dave loved the most. He cherished special times spent with his grandson, Bradley, who was the light of his life. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Pamela (Porter) Burke; a daughter, Sherrie Gravenor and her husband, Dallis of Salisbury; a son, Tim Burke and his wife, Mo of Baltimore; his beloved grandson, Bradley Gravenor; two sisters, Donna Adams of Texas and Connie Burke of Fruitland; two brothers, James Burke and William Burke, both of Salisbury; an aunt, Lois Parks of Princess Anne; and many nieces, nephews and friends. His faithful dog "Ruby Lee" also survives him. As per Dave's requests, a memorial gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date.
