It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Stephen Martin, age 40, who departed this life on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Born on December 4, 1985, in Baltimore, MD, Daniel lived a life filled with simple joys and cherished moments. He resided in Delmar, where he created lasting memories with his loved ones.

Daniel's early education took place at Pinehurst Elementary, and he later attended Seaford High School. His passion for life shone through in the small things he favored-whether it was going for scenic car rides, listening to uplifting Christian music, or marveling at dazzling Christmas lights. He had a special fondness for balloons and could often be found indulging in his favorite Dunkin' Donuts coffee.

Daniel will be deeply missed by his beloved family, including his loving parents, Jerry and Janet Martin; his brother, Matthew Martin; his grandmother, Shirley Martin; his aunt and uncle, Debbie and Daniel Thompson; and many cousins. Each of them holds treasured memories that celebrate the joy he brought into their lives.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Jim and Dorothy Taylor and Lee Roy Martin.

Funeral services will be held at Short Funeral Home in Delmar on Monday, September 28, 2026. A visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Paul Hall will officiate. The interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
