Daniel Andrew Kovach, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at Bay Harbor Post Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury, Maryland, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born on August 3, 1949, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Andrew and Maderia Kovach.

Danny served his country with honor in the Navy from 1968 to 1970 and continued his service in the Army Reserves, with the 441st Medical Unit in Wallops Island, from 1978 until 1991. A proud graduate with the class of 1967 of Seaford High School, he dedicated many years to the welding industry, working for Meadows Hydraulics in Fruitland and Byard Layton’s Construction in Laurel, as well as many other employers along the way. 

Danny is survived by his sons, Darin Kovach (Tina) and Eric Kovach; his cherished grandchildren, Stephanie Merson (Tom), Darin Kovach, Jr., Brooke Kovach (Douglas Ward), Shane Kovach, and Angela Garrett (Shane); great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Riley, Marley, Sam, Brayden, Bella, and Caiden; his brother, Raymond Kovach; and his nephews, TJ, Scott, and Timmy. His unwavering love and support for his family will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Danielle Windsor and his sister, Darlene Doughty.

In keeping with Danny’s wishes, no formal services will be planned. The family encourages those who wish to honor his memory to reflect on the values he held dear: service, dedication, and the love of family.
