Dale Venoy Outten, Jr., age 3, of Delmar, died Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC. He was born March 9, 2004 in Salisbury, a son of Dale Venoy Outten, Sr., and Gina Dukes Outten. Dale attended pre-school at Building Blocks in Delmar, where he had many friends. He loved to pray for family and friends and wanted to do everything like his Pop Pop. He is survived by his father, Dale V. Outten, Sr., who is currently serving his country in Iraq for the US Army; his paternal grandparents who were raising and caring for him, John and Rochelle Outten of Delmar; a 4-year-old sister, Alexis Jade Outten; a 5-month- old stepbrother, Nicholas Matthew Outten; a special aunt, Katie Outten; a special uncle, John Outten, Jr.; a special uncle, Dale Massey; a great-grandmother, Rosalind Massey; a great-grandfather, Carl Pollitt; 2 great aunts, Yvonne Hoppes and her husband Greg, and Annette Dixon and her husband Joe; his mother, Gina Dukes Outten; maternal grandparents, Patty and David Mumford; and an aunt, Mandy Parks. He was preceded in death by an uncle, A.J. Outten. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street, Delmar, where family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00. Interment will follow the services at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Delmar.
