Dale N. Griffin, 50, of Delmar died Friday, November 11, 2011 at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was born October 27, 1961 to Shirley Bennett of Delmar and the late Norman Elliott Griffin. Dale was a graduate of Bennett High School, Class of 1979. He served his country in the Marine Corps from 1981 to 1985, and then went to work as a carpenter. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and will be remembered for his free spirit. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Joshua Dale Griffin of Delmar; a twin brother, David Norman Griffin; a sister, Ruth Ann Spence both of Valier, Penn; three nieces, Khristy Bennett, Brandy Griffin and Audrey Grace Griffin; and a nephew, Tristin Griffin. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pastor Howard Travers will officiate. Interment will follow the services in the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, Maryland.
