DELMAR- Curtis L. "Junior" Perdue, 65, of Delmar, died Friday, October 21, 2011 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born in Pittsville March 12, 1946, a son of the late Curtis Lawrence Perdue,Sr. and Laura (Wilkins) Perdue. "Jr.", as he was known by family and friends, retired after 30 years of service from Dresser Wayne Industries in Salisbury. He was a member of Cornerstone Community Church in Delmar. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Patricia A. (Hurley) Perdue; 4 children, Kevin Perdue and his wife, Theresa, Chrystal Gardner and her husband David of Salisbury, Holly Carson and her husband, Jonathan of Salisbury and Ann Smullen and her husband, AJ of Delmar; 9 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Edith Mae Adkins of Powellville, Martha Donaway and her husband, Steve of Pittsville and Pat O'Neal of Florida; a sister-in-law, Louanne Perdue of Salisbury; and Eleanor Adkins, of Hebron, the wife of his longtime hunting buddy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, "Brandon." In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Lawrence Perdue, Sr.; a brother-in-law, Richard Adkins; and his close hunting buddy, "Dickie" Adkins. A memorial service will be held at the Perdue residence, 16157 Whitesville Road, Delmar, DE on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. Pastor Ronald Fullerton will officiate.
