Obituary

Craig Edward Webster, of Deal Island, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Salisbury Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was 66 years old. Craig was born in Salisbury on September 30, 1957, a son of the late Elwood Wesley Webster and Ruth (Collins) Brodey Webster. He graduated from Washington High School in Princess Anne and attended UMES for several years. In his younger years he worked as a sales associate for Montgomery Ward in Salisbury. He also worked several years for Easter Seals before his employment as a paralegal for Sheila Brooks-Tahir, Esquire. Music was Craig's passion and he served St. John's Church in Deal Island as the organist for over 50 years. Craig was a wonderful friend to many and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his sister, Brenda Morris; a nephew, Joseph Morris, Jr. and wife, Kristen; a niece, Jennifer Miller and husband, Chad Mothersell; many great nieces and great nephews; and a cousin, Robert Shores, III and wife, Wanda. He is also survived by close friend, Dennis O'Neal; devoted neighbor and friend, Teresa; and their sons, Denny, M.J. and Andrew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Joseph Morris, Sr.; and a nephew, Jason Morris. A celebration of Craig's life will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Church in Deal Island.
