SALISBURY- Connie Sue Robertson, 60, of Salisbury, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, after a brief illness. She was born July 13, 1957 in Portsmouth, Virginia, a daughter of the late Linwood Hunter, Jr. and Frances Ida (Estep) Hunter. Connie graduated from Bennett High School in Salisbury with the class of 1975. She proudly served her country in the US Air Force from 1975 to 1979. She enjoyed a career of over 30 years as a machinist for Saffron Labinal in Salisbury until their closure a few years ago. Connie was always very creative and a very determined woman who could accomplish anything she set her mind to. She loved arts and crafts, crocheting, reading and working in her garden. She had a special passion for sci-fi books and movies. She will be remembered as a wonderful cook and her family and friends will especially miss her lasagna and potato salad. She is survived by her daughter, Bridget Sue Matthews; her brother, Michael L. Hunter and wife, Lisa; her faithful companion of 13 years, Donald Evans Parker, Sr.; and his children, Victoria M. Parker and Donald E. Parker, Jr. She is also survived by an aunt, Evie Mae Greene; a niece, Linda Hunter Anderson and her husband, Brian; a great niece, Kayla M. Hovatter; and her beloved cats, "Little Man," "Tiger" and "Lou." There will be no formal services planned. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
