Cody Lee Coulbourne, 23, of Delmar passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009. He was born on January 24, 1986 in Milford, Delaware, a son of Pamela Lynn Coulbourne of Bridgeville. As a boy he loved climbing trees, which led him into a career in tree service, as a crew foreman for Asplundh. Spending time with his son, Hayden, racing BMX bikes, fishing and Ford Mustangs were some of his favorite interests. In addition to his mother, Pamela, he is survived by a son, Hayden Lance Coulbourne; David Ryan Scott, who was like a son to him; aunts and uncles, Theresa and Thomas Bowden of Seaford, Robert Coulbourne, Jr. of Delmar, Keith Coulbourne of Laurel and Sandra Kennedy of Parsonsburg; cousins, Eric Hearn of Seaford, Heather Coulbourne of Salisbury, Sean Bowden of Seaford and Amber Coulbourne of Easton; grandmother, Helen H. Jackson of Delmar; grandparents, Robert L. Coulbourne, Sr. and "EJ" Coulbourne of Laurel; and a very dear friend, Lynn Nichols of Greenwood. He was preceded in death by a late step grandfather, Bill Jackson and a step great grandmother, Minnie E. Jackson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Delmar, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00. The Reverend Barry Devine will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to benefit his son, Hayden, may be sent to Mrs. Helen H. Jackson, P.O. Box 3 9, Delmar, DE 19940.
