Obituary

Clinton "Clint" Tyler Murphy, 31, of Salisbury, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021, in Roanoke, Virginia, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born April 9, 1990, in Salisbury, the son of Mark K. and Traci L. (Christopher) Murphy of Mardela Springs. He graduated from North Dorchester High School with the class of 2008, where he played soccer and baseball. After high school, he worked in public works for the Town of Hurlock and as a water treatment operator for the City of Salisbury. Clint loved the outdoors and was happiest when fishing, hunting, camping, surfing or shooting pool. He also loved skateboarding and was an avid O's and Ravens fan. He derived great enjoyment from drawing and playing his guitar. While Clint loved all of these things, nothing was as important to him as his family, who he loved dearly. Family vacations to the Outer Banks with family and friends as well as Frontier Town Halloween weekends. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, wonderful sense of humor and contagious laugh. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his lifelong best friend and sister, Shelby Melton and husband Blake of Hebron aunts and uncles, Terri and Swank Era of E. New Market, Tami and Harold Brown of Hebron, Gale Banks of Seaford and Bob and Rose Murphy of Rhodesdale; cousins, Caleigh Era, Christin Morris and husband Cody, Harold Brown and daughter Nora, Kevin Brown, Amber Gabel and husband Chris and their children, Landon and Kimber, Brad Murphy and wife Megan and their children, Emma and Noah and J.B. Murphy and wife Heidi and their children, Jacob, Nate and Luke; great aunts and uncles, Peggy and Randall Hughes of Mardela Springs, Vernon "Bo" Gambrill of Mardela Springs and Dinah and Tom Downes of Harrington and; God parents, Kenny and Linda Hubbard of Rhodesdale; along with many great cousins; and a host of close friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Norman and Martha Christopher and Robert and Ida Murphy. A visitation for Clint's family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00. Pastor David Bennett will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made in Clint's memory to Asbury United Methodist Church, P.O.
