MARDELA SPRINGS- Clayton Sterling Calloway, 47, of Mardela Springs, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Seaford, a son of William Thomas Calloway and Jeanette Marie Wilson Calloway of Mardela Springs. Farming was in his blood, and from a young age he enjoyed his work on the Calloway Brothers Farm, or as most called it, Hungry Neck Farm. In the past they grew chickens for Perdue and most recently were growing chickens for Mountaire Farms. He loved the outdoors and since he was young he has been an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a past director of the Wicomico County Farm Bureau and a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Athol. His greatest pleasure came from spending time with his family, especially his children, hunting, fishing and four wheeling. Clayton loved sports, especially NASCAR. The Baltimore Orioles and the San Francisco 49ers were his favorite teams. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Denise Green Calloway; children, Tyler Clayton Calloway and Codi Ellen Calloway; a sister, Nancy Ellen Pope and her husband Craig of Mardela Springs; two brothers, William Thomas "Tommy" Calloway, Jr. and his wife Dee and David Allen Calloway and his wife Becky, all of Mardela Springs; nieces and nephews, April, Kory, Thomas, DJ, Jennifer, Dustin, William, Shawn, Samantha, Dylan and Kayden; mother and father-in-law, Tracy and Yvonne Green; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Chris Green; and a grandmother-in-law, Charlotte Willey.
