Claudia M. Lane, 70, of Delmar, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury. She was born in Camden, South Carolina on September 18, 1951, a daughter of the late Frederick C. Miner and Nola O. Miner. Claudia got her start in nursing at the Alleghany School of Nursing where she became an RN. Throughout her career she mostly would as an OR nurse. She first worked at Milford Memorial Hospital before moving on to Peninsula General Hospital in Salisbury, and then later at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. In 1985 she went to work for Dr. Cutchin in Salisbury from where she retired in the late 90's. She was born and raised Episcopalian and a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Salisbury. Claudia was extremely creative and gifted with her hands and her love for ceramics and pottery turned into her making special piggy banks for family and friends who were expecting. She loved to travel, visit family and looked forward to family gatherings at the beach house in Bethany Beach and loved trying new foods wherever she went. She is survived by her son, Christopher "Cole" Lane and wife Christin of Delmar, and their twin boys, Lucas and Silas; sisters, Marian Nichael and Josephine "Jo" Trepagnier and husband, Hardencourt "Trip"; brothers, Frederick "Rick" Miner and wife, Kathleen and Edward "Ed" Miner and wife Robin; and many nieces and nephews. At her request, there will be no formal services, but a celebration of her life at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
