Charlotte Ann Colonna, 73, of Mardela Springs died at her home on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born June 10, 1938 in Salisbury, Maryland, a daughter of Ella Owens Haddock of Hebron and the late Walter Haddock, Sr. Mrs. Colonna was a homemaker all of her life. She loved to go fishing with Tommy, Orington and Poppie. Special times were spent camping and listening to gospel music with Bud and catching frogs with Taylor. She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Scholl and her husband Ron of Salisbury, Debbie Searcey and her husband George of Fruitland and Judy Zeigler of Quinton, Virginia; 7 grandchildren, Ronnie, Brian and Jeffrey Scholl, Orington and Tammy Searcey , and Tommy and Tina Mears; 15 great grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; two brothers, Sonny Haddock of Mardela Springs and Charles Haddock of Laurel; three sisters, Shirley Donohoe of Mardela Springs, Dot Lynch of Hebron, and Jeannie Glover of Mardela Springs; a special companion and "love of her life," Harold Morick of Pennsylvania, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Colonna, and a son-in-law, Rick Zeigler. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service.
