It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Charles Henry McWilliams. He peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at his home in Snow Hill, Maryland surrounded by his family, at the age of 90. He was born on July 6, 1933, in East New Market, Maryland, a son of the late May Augusta McWilliams and Joseph Clark McWilliams. Charles earned his associate's degree and went on to become a successful financial consultant, having worked with GECC for many years. His passion for finance and commitment to his clients made him a respected figure in his field. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Charles was a proud member of the Sinepuxent Masonic Lodge, where he formed lasting bonds with his fellow members. Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Ann (Macpherson) McWilliams; devoted son, Mark Owen McWilliams and his wife Pattie, daughter-in-law, Becky McWilliams; cherished grandchildren Stephanie McWilliams, David McWilliams, Charles McWilliams and his wife Laura, and Brendan McWilliams and his wife Emily; and great grandchildren, Lily, Violet, Caleb, Maximus, Elijah, Carly, and Eoin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Myron Keith McWilliams, and brothers, Myron and Marvel McWilliams. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at noon at the Sinepuxent Masonic Lodge in Snow Hill, Maryland. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
