Charles Edward Layfield, 65, of Delmar, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born on October 18, 1948 in Salisbury, Maryland, a son of Virginia Christopherson of Delmar and the late Charles Layfield. Charles attended Bethel United Methodist Church in Gumboro. He is survived by two sons; Charles Layfield and his companion, Jessica Cecil of Salisbury and Chris Layfield of Delmar; two grandchildren, Alexis and Jasmine Layfield; two brothers, Ernest Layfield and William Layfield, both of Delmar; a sister, Peggy Adams of Gumboro; and a step-sister, Ruth Wolfgang of Delmar. A service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 22365 Bethel Road, Millsboro, DE 19966.
