Charles J. Hudson, Jr of Delmar, MD born June 3, 1944, passed away peacefully on September 28th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Charles was a retiree of the Local 486 Pipefitters and Plumbers Union and a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved to watch the Baltimore Orioles play, old Westerns, and reading the local magazine, The Coastal Fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hudson, son Charles "Chaz" J. Hudson III and wife Georgia, three grandchildren, Charles "Charlie" J. Hudson IV, Ricky Richardson (Taylor) and Stephanie McIver (Adham), also four great grandchildren, Layla and Elaina McIver, Ryder and Brody Richardson, and his sister Pauline Hudson. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr., and Pearl Hudson, as well as his three brothers, Virgil and Richard Hudson, and Jack Nicholson. Most will remember him as a big strong man of few words, when truly he was a man of many when it came to talking about his family, fishing, and his favorite sports teams. He sure loved to reminisce about the good days he spent on the water. A memorial service for Charles will be scheduled at a later date. Cremation will be handled by Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
