Catherine Ann Truitt, 80, of Delmar, formerly of Baltimore, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023. She was born November 8, 1942, in Salisbury, daughter of the late Alton and Frances (Marvel) Truitt. Catherine graduated from Delmar High School before completing her schooling to become a dental hygienist. She spent many years working in Washington, DC as a hygienist before her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, playing golf and spending time at Rehoboth Beach. She is survived by her niece, Barbara Jane Truitt of Delmar, her nephew, David Truitt and wife Beth; great niece, Gigi Gijanto; great nephews, Sam Gijanto, John Truitt and Josiah Truitt; and sister-in-law, Peggy Moore and husband Wayne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Truitt. Services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
