Carolyn Ann Tingle, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, at her home in Delmar. Born on October 12, 1958, in Seaford, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Janice Johnson. Carol, as she was affectionately known, was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to her family.

Carol poured her heart into creating a warm and loving home, where the essence of her spirit was expressed through her delicious cooking. She was especially known for her beef and dumplings and sweet potato biscuits, which brought joy to many family gatherings. She also had a green thumb and took immense joy in planting and caring for her beautiful flowers, bringing vibrant life to her home and garden.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Greg Tingle; her cherished daughter, Casey Roberts; and her adoring grandchildren, Elijah Allen Majors, Alexandra Leigh Roberts, and Aliyah Jannan Majors. She is also survived by her brother, Irvin "Buddy" Johnson, Jr. (Debbie), and her sisters, Nancy Lauer (Ralph) and Marlene McGrath (Sam), who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Franklin Lee Roberts and her brother, Dennis Johnson.

In honoring her wishes, no formal services will be held. The family invites those who knew and loved Carol to remember her fondly and cherish the memories shared.
