Carolyn Diane "Susie" Holder, a cherished mother and grandmother, whose warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew her, passed away at the age of 65 on Friday, April 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Linard Skylar Bowers and Fannie Mae (Kemp) Bowers on November 24, 1958, in Elizabethton, TN. She had a special place in her heart for "The Wizard of Oz," symbolizing her last journey down the yellow brick road onto the golden road. Her generous spirit, warm smile, and love for her family were evident to all who knew her. Susie worked as a sales associate at Wal-Mart in Pocomoke and enjoyed engaging with people, never failing to make a stranger feel like a friend. She adored her daughters, Melanie and Melissa, and found joy in the simple things in life. She is survived by her daughters, Melanie Rhea of Elizabethton, Tennessee and Melissa McClellan of Portland, Oregon; grandchildren, Brandon Rhea (Leann), Allison Pierce, and Sierra Vines; great grandchildren, Kolton Pierce, Zackary Vines, Issac Vines, and Everlee Rhea; and brothers, Jim Bowers (Debbie Jo) and Lynn Bowers (Karen). In honor of Susie's memory, a memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 2 pm at (HALO) Hope and Life Outreach, 119 South Blvd in Salisbury. As we gather to remember Susie, let us reflect on the love and light she brought into the world and the impact she made on those around her.
