Burl W. "Bud" Mull, 85, of Laurel passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 21, 1937 in Kingsport, Tennessee, a son of the late Ralph and Alice Mull. Bud as he was fondly known by his family and friends enjoyed hunting, fishing and crabbing. He owned his own construction company, All State Builders until his retirement. Bud loved car racing and previously owned race cars some of which his son Billy raced at Delaware International Speedway in Delmar and the Georgetown Speedway. His dad also served as his mechanic and crew chief. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Lou Mull; sons, Billy Mull of Delaware and Curtis Mull of Tennessee; a brother, Bill Mull of Bear, DE; and sisters, Peg Cox of Newark, DE and Bev Mull of Indiana. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Mull; a son, Burl "Buddy" Mull; and a brother, Ralph Mull, Jr. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
