Brianna Ashleigh Wright, 23, of Delmar passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Brianna was born on, November 12, 1998, in Salisbury, MD to Rene Adkins and Douglas Wright. "Bri" as family and friends fondly knew her was a 2016 graduate of Bennett High School in Salisbury. She went on to further her education at Wor-Wic Community College and then graduated from Salisbury University with a Business degree. Bri worked as a consultant at APPI Energy, was a part-time bartender at Market Street, and worked at The Insurance Market in Salisbury. She is survived by her mother/best friend and step-father, Rene and Patrick Adkins of Mardela Springs; father and step-mother, Douglas and Melody Wright of Baltimore; sisters, Kayla Kincaid (Scott) and Tori Adkins; significant other, Trey Milligan; grandparents, Don and Linda Wright and David Phillips; uncles, Scott Wright (Tara) and Ralph Whitten; aunt, Ruthanna Lucas (John); close friends, Regan, Brooke, Bailey, and Taylor; and her beloved dog, "Charlie." She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Patricia Phillips, and uncle, Robert Whitten. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, May 27, 2022, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 am to noon on Friday. Interment will follow in Old Trinity Church Cemetery in Church Creek, Maryland. Following, there will be a reception at Mardela Springs Fire Hall, where all are welcome. Bri had a luminous personality, a contagious smile, and a laugh that was a delight for all that knew her. Bri was one of the most caring and loving individuals to not only her family and friends but to anyone, she crossed paths with. She was the light in every room she walked into. Her loving attitude and compassion for everyone and everything were contagious. Bri truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; playing fetch with her dog, Charlie, caring for her sister, Tori, eating with her close friends, and always looked forward to being her sister, Kayla's taste tester for her sweet treats.
