Obituary

SEAFORD- Brenda Louise Hill, 57, of Seaford, died Monday, April 17, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 16, 1960 in Washington, DC, a daughter of Louise Mae Baicar and the late Paul Douglas Baicar. Brenda was baptized as a young girl at the Episcopal church in Oxon Hill and was active at the church in her younger years. More recently she had begun to attend Christ Lutheran Church in Seaford. She enjoyed boating and spending time with family on the water. She was a wonderful homemaker and immensely enjoyed being a daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. She had a huge heart for animals and a special fondness for dogs and horses. Her favorite color was purple and family and friends will always be reminded of her when they see the color purple. She was also a movie collector and was a big fan of any movie starring Channing Tatum, her favorite actor. She was an avid NASCAR fan and religiously followed Jeff Gordon and Denny Hamlin. Anticipating her time here on earth was coming to an end, she was asked if there were any special wishes that she had yet to fulfill. Much to her family's surprise, a trip to a live NASCAR race was one of her wishes. After working out the details, they were able to arrange a family trip to the Martinsville Speedway in West Virginia for the race in October, which was a dream come true for her. She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Nicole Hill and her significant other, Donald White, Jr. of Delmar, Maryland; a son, Robert S. Hill, III of Seaford; grandchildren, Aleese and Shane; a brother, Robert Paul Baicar and wife, Kim and their daughter, Anna Lynn of Arnold, Maryland; her former husband and father of her children, Robert S. Hill, Jr. of Severn; and her best friend, Denny Murray. Last but not least, she is also survived by her beloved dog, "Buddy." A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where a visitation will be held from 6:00 to 6:30. Pastor David Nuss will officiate. The family welcomes you to wear purple to the service in honor of Brenda if you wish. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
