FRUITLAND-Bonnie Jean Hubbard, 63, of Fruitland, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She was born April 28, 1948 in Salisbury, a daughter of the late Gene T. Willey and Virginia Barnes. Bonnie was a homemaker who loved to play bingo, crochet gifts for family and friends and rarely missed a day of watching her favorite COPS shows. Throughout the years she also worked part-time jobs at McDonald's and various other restaurants. She is survived by her son, with whom she lived, Lester Lee Adkins of Fruitland; a daughter, Virginia M. Garrison and her husband, Douglas of Bensalem, PA; 3 grandchildren, Brian Adkins, Teresa Garrison and Kimberly Garrison; 2 great-grandchildren, Kayla Adkins and Scott Adkins; 3 sisters, Nancy Henry and Jerry Talley, both of Michigan and Sheila Lankford and her husband, Robert of Princess Anne; and a brother, Ronnie Talley of Florida. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Kenneth Hubbard, who passed in August 2011, and a sister, Judy Talley. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at Short Funeral Home, Delmar, where family and friends may call from 11:30 to 12:30. The Reverend James Hitch will officiate. Interment will follow the services at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
