Betty M. Walker, 84, of Delmar, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 23, 1929 in Denton, Maryland, a daughter of the late John and Elsie Propper. Betty had a love for cats and enjoyed attending the Laurel Senior Center. She is survived by three sons, Terry Schuyler and his companion Libby, Perry Schuyler and his wife Patty, and Lee Schuyler; a daughter, Robin Twilley; three step-sons, Bill Walker, Lester Mac Walker, Jr. and John Walker; two step-daughters, Connie Banks and Dee Moore; three grandchildren, Shannon Anderson and her husband Phillip, Michelle Schuyler and Benjamin Schuyler; a great granddaughter, Emma Anderson; 8 step grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; a sister, Kathleen Bennett; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Mac Walker, Sr.; a son, Larry Schuyler; a brother, Paul Propper; and a sister, Jean Twilley. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street in Delmar. A visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m.to 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
