Betty Lee Chamberlain, 84, of Salisbury, a licensed minister, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Union Memorial Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. She was born November 21, 1927 in West Virginia, the daughter of the late Frank and Loma Stokes. Mrs. Chamberlain worked in the library at the Baltimore Sun for over 20 years. She later went to work for the Schmidt Baking Company, retiring in 1993. She attended Delmarva Evangelistic Church, where she received her master's degree in theology and divinity. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Kinnikin of Delmar and Betty Jane Morgan of West Virginia; five grandchildren, Douglas Richmond of West Virginia, Mickey Lane of West Virginia, Nathaniel Whayland of Rockville, Maryland, Kim Whayland of Salisbury and Kelli Chamberlain of Salisbury; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Francis Chamberlain and a son, George Frank Chamberlain. A graveside service for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury, Maryland.
