DELMAR- Betsy Lane Fisher, 89, of Delmar, died Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Berlin Nursing Home after a brief stay. She was born August 31, 1926 in Salisbury, a daughter of the late Clinton Benjamin Webster and Mabel Webster Getman. She retired from Campbell Soup Co. in Salisbury with over 20 years of service as a sales clerk. Before moving back to the area Betsy spent time in Philadelphia and New Jersey. She was an avid reader and will be remembered by many as an excellent cook. She is survived by two daughters, Lisa F. Hazel of Salisbury and Heidi Lane Ennis and husband, Sam of Parsonsburg; three grandchildren, Jacob Ennis and wife, Victoria, Kendal Hazel and wife, Kristin and Jillian Ennis; and two great-grandchildren, Connor and Mikayla. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Elinor Steere and Judith Faye Getman. A funeral service will be held Monday, May 16, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where family and friends may call from 11:00 to 12:00.
