Benjamin L. Cox, 81, of Milford, formerly of Salisbury, died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at his daughter's home in Milford. He was born April 6, 1931 in Crisfield, a son of the late George Dewey Cox and Sarah Frances (Hickman) Cox. Ben worked as a meat cutter at various Acme and Safeway stores before retiring after over 22 years of service. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Salisbury for many years. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He will be missed greatly by family and friends, especially his little dog "Shalom." He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Anne Cox; 2 daughters, Deborah Faith Zencak (William) of Milford and Diana Hope Bear (David) of Willards; a son, Daniel Cox (Dorothy) of Cannelburg, Indiana; 10 grandchildren, Andrea Walker (Paul), Daniel Zencak (Pearl), Sonny Bear (Judy), Alicia Cox, Denise, Destiny, Diana, Daron, Duston and Desiree Bear; 2 great grandchildren, Hunter Zencak and Ashton Walker; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Myrtle Massey and Betty Bell; and a brother, Sonny Cox. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Salisbury Mennonite Church Cemetery. Pastor Matt Deputy will officiate.
