Obituary

It is with both sorrow and celebration that we announce the passing of Barbara A. Rohloff, who left this world peacefully at her home in Snow Hill on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on July 9, 1935, in Leesburg, Virginia, Barbara lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a profound appreciation for the little things that brought her joy. She was a daughter of the late George Melvin Kitts and Sarah Elizabeth Tribby Kitts. Barbara dedicated many years to her career as an administrative assistant, beginning her journey with Americana Fencing, working alongside of her husband, George, where her commitment and organizational skills left a lasting impact. She then continued her professional path, at Frame Masters in Falls Church, Virginia. Her colleagues and friends often admired her kind spirit and unwavering work ethic, traits that defined her both professionally and personally. She will be remembered for her love of the holidays, especially Christmas, and her collection of Santas. A resident of Snow Hill, Maryland, Barbara cherished her time with her family above all else. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Dena Holloway and husband, Lee; her brother, Billy Kitts; her cherished grandchildren, Christopher Holloway and wife, Becky and Sharon Love; and 5 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Barbara's love and wisdom will endure in the hearts of her family and friends as they remember the countless memories of her laughter, warmth, and her unique fondness for frogs. Barbara was preceded in death by husbands, George W. Allison, II, and John R. Rohloff; sons, George W. Allison III, Thomas Ryan Allison, and Michael Joseph Allison; brothers, Delaney Kitts and Thomas Joseph Kitts; and a sister, Laura Mae Kitts. Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at Union Cemetery in Leesburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Barbara's name to Toys for Tots Eastern Shore, c/o Kim Wheatley, 5632 Wheatley Church Road, Seaford, DE 19973.
