SALISBURY- Anna Kathryn Mariner, 96, of Salisbury, formerly of Laurel, passed Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Sarah, Margaret & Mollie's Assisted Living center in Salisbury, where she happily lived for the past six years. She was born January 12, 1919 in Federalsburg, a daughter of the late Daniel and Delly Toulson Williams. Kathryn, as she was known by all who loved her, lived in Federalsburg until 1964 when she met her husband, James. She was a long time member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Laurel and a member of the UMW club for many years. She retired in 1977 after 34 years of service as a textile inspector for E.I. DuPont in Seaford. She was a devoted wife and aunt who enjoyed baking and sharing pies and fruitcakes for family and friends. She is survived by a step-son, R. James "Jimmy" Mariner, Jr. of Laurel; many nieces and nephews; and several special extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R. James Mariner, Sr., who passed in 1997; a step-daughter, Barbara Mariner; brothers, Raymond, John and Calvin; and sisters, Blanche, Sally Esther and Louise. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Laurel. Pastor Joe Lecates will officiate.
