Anna Mae Cooper Baker, 70, of Delmar, Delaware passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born November 28, 1940 in Delmar, Delaware, a daughter of the late Franklin and Delema Pusey. In her early years, Mrs. Baker worked as a waitress, and for the past 20 years she sold produce. She also worked at the Laurel Senior Center. She is survived by three sons, Paul W. Cooper, Jr. of Westover, MD, Keith E. Cooper of Memphis, Tenn, and Kevin W. Cooper of Westover, MD; a brother, Freddie Pusey of Laurel, DE; three sisters, Rachel Stearns of South Carolina, Dorothy Griffin of Delmar, DE and Rose Ruark of Delmar, DE; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Cooper and her second husband, Blide Baker. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Short Funeral Home, 13 East Grove Street in Delmar, Delaware. Pastor Ken Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Laurel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 163549, Columbus, Ohio 43216.
