Obituary

Alison Marie Townsend, 36, of Baltimore, Maryland, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Monday, August 11, 2025, at her home, with her loving and devoted mom and caregiver by her side. Alison was the daughter of Cora Melissa Townsend of Baltimore, Maryland, and Ranny P. Townsend, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie of Salisbury, Maryland. Alison fought her battle with metastasized Stage IV colon cancer courageously and, with Jesus by her side and in her heart, she won the victory and is now free of all pain and suffering. She is celebrating in Heaven with her Mom Mom Townsend and her MaMa White. Alison dearly loved her family and cherished special moments spent together. She was bold in personality and in her beliefs. She worked as a cashier and also a filter assembler at Lorch. Alison was an intentional worker and proud of the labor she did. She loved frequenting the Amish Market and Auntie Ann's and loved making friends just as much as she enjoyed the goodies they offered. She was really fond of watching the Ravens play and truly supported her hometown team. In addition to her parents, Alison is survived by her sister, Julia Marie More of Oregon, Wendy Brunori and her husband, Matt of Rockledge, Florida, her niece, Meghan Poole of Skagway, Alaska, and her nephews Vincent Poole and Nathan Poole of Rockledge, Florida, her goddaughter, Carlandina Senat of Haiti, her aunts and uncles, Marilyn Landry and husband, Dave of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Judy Scott and husband, John of Salisbury, Maryland, Debbie Campbell and husband, Jim of Seaford, Delaware, Denise Morgan of Salisbury, Maryland, Beverly Brumbley and husband, Tom of Salisbury, Maryland, Paula Rittenhouse and husband, Mike of Delmar, Maryland, and Bruce Harmeson of Deale, Maryland. She is also survived, remembered, and loved by a host of cousins and friends. Alison was predeceased by her grandmothers Wilma Townsend, Mary Ann Harmeson, and Betty Scott, grandfather Ed Scott, and great grandmother, Beatrice White. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the Celebration of Life, which will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 12:00 pm at 3C USA Church, 38238 Old Stage Road, Delmar, Delaware, with visitation from 11:00 to 12:00 at the church. Interment will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park. Pastors Mike Rittenhouse, Paula Rittenhouse, Jared Rittenhouse, and Rev. Tom and Bev Brumbley will officiate. In remembrance of Alison, donations may be made to 3C USA Church in Delmar, Delaware, and/or Evangelistic World Outreach (Haiti), 27922 Cross Creek Drive, Salisbury, Maryland 21801. The family would like to thank Kalli, Kanisha, and Rachel for their love, support, and diligence in caring for Alison as well as the team at Accent Care-Hospice for their support and care over the last 2 years. We also want to thank all of our family and friends, as well as 3CUSA Church for their love, support, time, and special gifts for Alison.
