Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery
Starts at 11:30 am (Eastern time)
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alfred Ronald "Ron" Beatty Sr., age 79, who left us peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2026. Born on May 13, 1946, in Trenton, New Jersey, he was the third child of four brothers and six sisters. He was a son of Leon and Louise Beatty. Ron was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, whose larger-than-life personality will be missed by all who knew him.
Ron spent the majority of his life in New Jersey before relocating to Delaware in his retirement. He proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970, a chapter of his life that he cherished dearly. Following his military service, he dedicated over 27 years to the New Jersey Department of Corrections as an institutional training instructor, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and hobby farming, activities that brought him joy and created cherished memories with his family.
A devoted family man, Ron is survived by his loving wife, Bette Anne Beatty; his children, Ronnie Beatty, Jr. (Cheryl), Trevor Beatty, Kevin Beatty, Andria Doyle (Ed), and Dana Schwartz (Jon); and twelve grandchildren.
Military Honors for Ron will take place on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 11:30 am at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. In honor of Ron's joyous spirit, we invite those who knew and loved him to join the family in sharing memories, laughter, and stories of the incredible legacy he leaves behind immediately following military honors at Villa Mannino, 73 Route 130, Bordentown, NJ 08620.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Tunnell to Towers Foundation by visiting www.T2T.org in Ron's memory.
