DELMAR- Aiko Nema Jones, 77, of Delmar, died Monday, October 12, 2015 at her home in Delmar. She was born February 21, 1938 in Miyako Island, Japan, a daughter of the late Heisho and Matsu Nema. From her early days, she realized the value of hard work. Many years ago she worked in several restaurants and a futon factory before deciding to stay home and raise her family. She was an excellent cook and loved to share her authentic Japanese cooking with family and friends. She also loved her flowers and taking trips to the slots in Dover. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. One of her proudest moments was being there for her daughter and grandson as they graduated from college. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robbie B. Jones; a daughter, Megumi "Meme" Jones of Delmar; a grandson, Geoffrey Dugan of Delmar; and 4 sisters all back home in Okinawa. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and in-laws. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother. Services will be private at the request of the family.
