DELMAR- Agnes Lee Mitchell, 88, of Delmar, passed Friday morning, May 25, 2018 at her home, with her loving family gathered around. She was born July 24, 1929 in Laurel, a daughter of the late Sirman and Lennie (Marvel) Cordrey. Agnes enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends and also her work on the family farm. She was a member of Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene for close to twenty years, where she was a member of the church choir, taught Sunday school, went on Work and Witness trips and assisted with the Easter Journey. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Delmar where she served as Sunday school superintendent and teacher and sang in the choir. She is survived by her children, Pam Mitchell of Salisbury and Blair Mitchell (Sandra Donoway) of Delmar; and her grandson, Benjamin Mitchell of Delmar. She is also survived by a sister, Ruth Ann Brumbley of Delmar and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul James Mitchell, who passed in 1987 and her beloved sisters, Eleanor Jones and Joyce Wolfgang. A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Cross Point Church of the Nazarene, 27765 Nanticoke Rd in Salisbury, followed by a funeral service which begins at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Joel Beiler will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Delmar.
