Linda S. Parkin of Hebron, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Delmar, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 6, 1948 in Salisbury, Maryland, a daughter of the late Norris and Evelyn Phillips. Linda absolutely loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Throughout the years, she enjoyed going on cruises with her husband, and after his passing she and her sister would travel together. Linda had a strong work ethic and will be remembered as a loyal and caring person. She worked for Genesis HealthCare in Salisbury for over 25 years. She is survived by her daughters, Christina Thompson (Robert) and Leah Fisher (Lee); sons, Kevin Parkin (Lauren), Kent Parkin, and Kirk Parkin (Shelly); grandchildren, Ryan, Shaun, Heather, Zachary, Eliza, Asher, Zuri, Tyler (Melanie), Shaina, Malina, and Gavin; great grandchildren, Addison and Averie; a sister, Rosalie Jones (Paul); nephews, Michael Weatherly, David Weatherly, and David Cooper; a niece, Donna Benton; and several great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Edward Parkin. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street in Delmar. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. The Reverend Jay Hurley will officiate.
