James Edward Fisher, “Little Jay,” 40, of Delmar, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, December 10, 2021. He was born April 19, 1981, in Salisbury. Little Jay has loved trucks since he was a little boy and in his early adulthood started driving for his dad as an over-the-road truck driver. He was a talented painter and spent the past several years working for several local subcontractors. He was an avid football fan and a faithful fan of the San Francisco 49ers. Little Jay had a love for old school, classic country music and for years has listened to George Jones, Tammy Wynette and Waylon Jennings, just to name a few. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother and father who cherished spending time with his kids. He is survived by his father, Milton James Fisher, Jr. “Big Jay,” and wife, Beverly of Delmar; his mother, Sue Ellen (Bennett) Scott of New Port Richie, Florida; beloved children, Zachary James Fisher, Brianna Nicole Fisher, Owen Thomas Workman and Colton James Fisher; sister, Stephanie Banks of New Orleans, LA; aunt, Etta Mayers and husband Keith; uncle, Randy Fisher and wife Sherry, and their son, Sean. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
