Brandon L. Peek, 25 of Florida, and formerly of Delmar, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 15, 2017. He was born November 12, 1991 in Baltimore, a son of Robert L. Justice of Laurel and the late Jody Lynne Moore Justice. Brandon attended Delmar High School. He worked several years in construction and absolutely loved his work as a hard-working, skilled worker and excelled in bathroom remodeling. His passion was snakes and reptiles and he had several snakes of various breeds. Overall, Brandon's biggest love was his children and step-children as he will be remembered as a wonderful and loving father. Brandon leaves behind his son, Richard; four daughters, Makena, Rose, Adalia and Athena; the love of his life, Dianne Hurt; step-children, Skye and Brianna Shrieves; a grandmother, Jean Murray of Laurel; his uncle Jay, aunt Cheryl and cousin James. He is also survived by the Moore family of Delmar and the Baker family of Delmar. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rose Baker. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to any suicide prevention awareness organization. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home, where family and friends may call from 12:00 noon to 1:00.
